The Sea Lion Bowl (SLB) is one of the 25 regional competitions that make up the National Ocean Sciences Bowl (NOSB). The SLB is an academic competition that addresses a national gap in environmental and earth sciences in public education by introducing high school students to and engaging them in ocean science, preparing them for ocean science-related and other STEM careers, and helping them become knowledgeable citizens and environmental stewards. Winners of the SLB will continue to compete in NOSB finals.
Please note that the Sea Lion Bowl will be held virtually this year, and there will be no head-to-head competitions. Additionally, there will only be Varsity teams this year (no JV) due to time constraints associated with the virtual format.
